Uda (
Appearance[]
Uda was a tall and slim man in his early 30's. He had slicked back dark blue hair, angular eyebrows and beady brown eyes with a black pupil and rings (black eyes with a white pupil in the manga) . He wears a pair of red rectangle earrings and a piercing under his mouth, with his outfit consisting in a white polo shirt with a red tie under a black business suit (the shirt is light blue, tie and suit are dark blue in the manga) as well shoes of the same color.
Personality[]
Uda was a normally calm man that always seemed to be loyal towards Slur. He is also shown to be arrogant to the point of even killing in cold blood other JAA guards for no reason before he speaks to Slur after he left the elevator. He also he propensity to embellish the truth for JAA's future for his own gain.
Plot[]
Prior to the events of the series, Uda was related to the Al-Kamar Orphanage, in which he was working as a teacher. But he later escaped alongside Gaku, Kumanomi, Haruma, Tenkyu and Gozu. Sometime later, he was possibly turned into a cyborg with a weapon being hidden inside his body.
Death Row Prisoners Arc[]
Upon coming across Slur during his attack on the Tokyo Branch of the JAA, Uda would shoot his co-workers and expose his allegiance to Slur, having acted as Slur's mole during his time at the JAA.
Uda attacks Apart and Shin and Takamura at various times throughout Slur and Gaku's attack on the Tokyo Branch of the JAA.
Uda then tries to shoot Takamura, but the elderly swordsman deflects his bullets. Uda tries to shoot Takamura from behind, but he gets his trigger finger cut off by Takamura before getting stabbed in the throat. Uda would trigger a bomb by pulling his tie and commit suicide in an attempt to kill Takamura and buy enough time for Slur and Gaku to successfully escape.
Skills and Abilities[]
Enhanced Reflexes : Uda was shown to quickly shoot his opponents before they can react,
Marksmanship: Just like most JAA's guards, Uda always kept a firearm to defend himself, the firearm being a hand gun. Uda has demonstrated that handguns was his weapon of choice and that he was extremely skilled sharpshooter, even showing to prefer using his handgun in close quarter fighting by getting in close to fire at his victims at close range.
Cybernetic Modifications : Uda had a bomb planted through his chest in which he can activate by pulling on his tie. The bomb´s explosion was powerful enough to even kill multiple people in a large building.
Etymology[]
- The name Uda means "eaves, roof, house, heaven" (宇) (u) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
Trivia[]
- Uda was 23 years old when he went missing from the Al-Kamar Orphanage.[3]
