Taro Sakamoto vs. Shin is a battle fought between retired hitman Taro Sakamoto and then active hitman Shin. It takes place in the Sakamoto Store.
Prologue[]
Taro Sakamoto was the greatest hitman of all time, however he fell in love, got married and became fat. He now owns a store and is his neighbourhood's jack of all trades. One day, Sakamoto is watching a kid who is trying to get free juice. However, the kid fails and stains a man's white trousers. The man is about to beat the kid, but Sakamoto restrains him and nearly kills him. The man leaves but Sakamoto's old colleague, Shin, a clairvoyant, arrives and states that he saw what Sakamoto did in his head. Shin tries to convince Sakamoto to come back to the hitman world, however Sakamoto refuses and Shin soon learns of his state as the jack of all trades. Of course, Shin doesn't agree with the new Sakamoto and leaves. Later that day, Shin gets a call from his boss, who wants him to kill Sakamoto due to the fact that he left the hitman world. Shin agrees, as he wants to do it himself. The next day he arrives at the store and tells Sakamoto he came to pay his respects before pointing a gun at him.
Battle[]

The finishing blow
Shin shoots Sakamoto, who deflects the bullet with a cough drop. A popsicle is thrown Shin's way. He dodges, but Sakamoto is nowhere to be found, and Shin can't read his thoughts due to him keeping his mind clear. Sakamoto starts shooting numerous candies at Shin. Shin gets to the corner Sakamoto is hiding, but a cream puff is thrown at him. In the time that Shin tries to clean himself, Sakamoto gets behind him and kicks him through multiple shelves.
Aftermath[]
Shin wakes up to see Aoi and Hana, who are glad to know he's awake. Shin asks where he is and finds out that he is on the second floor of the Sakamoto Store. Hana asks which type of rice serving Shin would like. He responds by saying he wants a regular and upon eating the food, finds out that it's warm and delicious, unlike the poisoned food he thought it was. Shin then realizes that Sakamoto gave up being a hitman to protect this life. The next day, Shin leaves and Sakamoto non-verbally tells him to come again by pointing to the sign.
