Profile

Shishiba (?) is a member of the Order, a group of the strongest assassins in the JAA.[5] Before joining the Order, he was a rogue assassin until he met Satoru Yotsumura and eventually became his student.[6] He is also the mentor of Osaragi.[7]

Appearance[]

Shishiba is a tall and slim man in his mid 20´s with long blond hair worn loose and blue eyes (black in the manga). He wears a light blue shirt under a dark brown suit and a purple tie that contains a hammerhead shark-shaped pin (the suit and tie are black, and the shirt is white in the manga)

During the Order reunion in a fancy restaurant. Shishiba wears a brown floral shirt and a black tie with pink floral details under a black suit.

Shishiba has a spike-shaped scar on his left chin as a result of his rematch against Yotsumura.[8] He lost his ring and pinkie fingers on his left hand.[9] Sometime later, he reattaches his two severed fingers, with him now wearing a glove over the two fingers to covered them up.[10]

Personality[]

Shishiba is an aloof man that rarely shows much care or concern for anything or anyone unless it is his work or his protégé, Osaragi. However, he believes it's important to kill with concern and respect towards the public, believing that regular civilians have a right to a normal life, having chastised Osaragi about killing so publicly.

Despite being such a prolific assassin, Shishiba cares little for killing, even comparing it to a chore like cleaning the house. He looks down on Yotsumura's idea that an assassin must have a fanatical belief in killing, or none, saying that the idea of giving psychos weapons is old fashioned.

Shishiba's main philosophy in life is "simplicity". His weapon is a pair of hammers that was picked solely because of how simple they are. This is because they can hit or gouge, and do not run out of bullets or require sharpening.[11] In the past and his youth, Shishiba held a deep indifference towards life, not putting up a fight with Yotsumura when he came to kill him, and even told the man to hurry up and kill him when he was commenting on the mess he'd made. Even when Yotsumura took him under his wing, he only asked what the pay was.

Shishiba is also very confident in his combat abilities, as he states that there was no way an old man like his old mentor, Yotsumura could’ve beaten him,[12] and was open to the thought of fighting someone as strong as Nagumo whenever his former colleague’ antics annoy him to do so.[13]

Relationships[]

Osaragi[]

Shishiba is Osaragi's mentor in the Order.[7] They're shown to be quite close, often pairing up for missions together and going out to eat afterwards. Shishiba often advises her on how to act as an assassin. Their relationship seems to mirror the mentor-mentee relationship he once had with Yotsumura.

Taro Sakamoto[]

They remain on fairly good terms even after his retirement, with Shishiba calling him "Mr. S"[14] and the latter asking him to say hello to the gang after meeting him. He seems to hold a great deal of respect for Sakamoto stating it's impossible for him to imagine Sakamoto losing against anyone.

Yoichi Nagumo[]

Shishiba and Nagumo seem to have a good relationship, though Shishiba tends to threaten to kill Nagumo whenever he's being annoying.

Satoru Yotsumura[]

Yotsumura was Shishiba's mentor in the Order and the one the proper ways of being an assassin. During his time with him, they developed a deep bond as partners, so much so that Yotsumura let him into his peraonal life and introduced Shishiba to his family. He holds a great amount of respect for him, and even knowing how it could jeopardize his job, was unable to truly finish him off on two separate occasions.

Skills & Abilities[]

Overall Skill Level: Shishiba is a member of the Order and one of the strongest assassins in the JAA.[5] He is implied to be one of their stronger members, as he is also the mentor to Osaragi, another powerful member of the Order.[7] Satoru Yotsumura, Shishiba's former mentor and a founding member of the Order, stated that if Shishiba had a different mindset, he could be at a higher rank.[15] This was supported by the fact that Shishiba was able to put him on the brink of death while only losing two fingers in the process during their fight to death.[16] Kashima even classified Shishiba as an A-rank target on the hit list he created.[17]

Shishiba was also able to fight off Haruma and Kumanomi temporarily while only receiving minor injuries, although he was unable to deal any major damage to his opponents in the process.[18] When fighting Kumanomi one-on-one, Shishiba was able to deal noticeable damage to her and partially destroy her robotic arm.[19]

Master Combatant: Shishiba is a highly skilled combatant, capable of using his claw hammers in battle with incredible proficiency.[20][21] He has shown to use his claw hammers to exchange blows with Yotsumura, and land devastating strikes on him with the claw ends, nearly killing him.[22] He uses the claw ends to rip and tear into his opponents, preferring to snap their necks or decapitate them.[23] Shishiba has also used his claw hammers to gain tactical advantages such as shifting his momentum after being blown back to attack right away,[24] or by using the reflection of one of his hammers as a mirror to find and strike down those hiding behind cover.[16] Even without the use of his hammers, Shishiba was able to kill an assassin behind him with a dango skewer.[25] He was also capable of fighting off multiple assassins while driving and even use the car itself as a weapon.[26] When Carolina Reaper's heat caused Kumanomi's electro magnet to lose its magnetism, Shishiba wasted no time in counter attacking, slamming Kumanomi to the ground and quickly striking Carolina Reaper, shortly afterwards.[27]

Morse Code: Shishiba can read morse code, as shown when he notices that Nagumo was using the signal lights of a moving car to tell him that he was "killing".[28]

Enhanced Reflexes: Shishiba shows to have reactions fast enough to snap Kashima's neck without him noticing,[20] and even blocking some bullets with one of his hammers being fired by a assassin with a machine gun while driving.[29] He was capable of deflecting a projectile being fired by Kumanomi.[30]

Enhanced Strength: Shishiba was even able to parry strikes from Yotsumura staff who ends up slicing two of his fingers. [31] as well breaking a wall with its bare hand and grab Haruma through it.[32] He was also able shatter the blade of Kumanomi´s axe and then send her flying with a kick that ends up hitting Carolina Reaper through a concrete pillar.[33]

Enhanced Durability: Shishiba survived being pummeled through the roofs of a small building during his quarrel against Yotsumura,[34] as well being hit by a crane truck released by Kumanomi.[35] He also stay conscious after taking a blow to the abdomen from Carolina Reaper’s gas saber.[36]

Claw Hammers: Shishiba wields a pair of claw hammers in battle with incredible skill. He claims that they are the ideal weapons as they can both hit or gouge out things, and that they never run out of bullets or have to be sharpened.[11] His hammers are also polished enough to view the reflection of a person in it.
