Sakamoto Days Wiki

Sei Asaki (あさせい Asaki Sei?) was the former JAA chairman and the older brother of Slur, as well as the one responsible for the Al-Kamar Orphanage before it was shut down. He was the overarching antagonist of the series.

Personality[]

Asaki was a quiet, yet manipulative and egocentric man that would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. This was first shown when he threatened his own brother and his men to kidnap Gaku, as well ordering some of the children and teenagers of the Al-Kamar to perform assassinations of certain figures.

He was also shown to be extremely sadistic, as he often seen smiling after revealing that he tricked Uzuki into killing Rion Akao just for the sake of allowing him to continue his goal.

However, when his live is in danger, he is shown to be quite cowardly, lying and trying to emotionally manipulate his brother when he was about to kill him. Ultimately, Asaki was a selfish coward who used people without a hint of empathy, leading to a karmic demise.

Appearance[]

Asaki was a man of average height and build. He had sunken black eyes and short, wavy, unkempt white hair with a black streak near his forehead. His outfit consisted in a white shirt under a black tie and suit.

History[]

Several years earlier, Asaki was one of the JAA executives collaborating with the JAA chairman. Asaki would force his younger brother to kill the chairman's wife and daughter in order to lure the chairman out. Sometime later, Uzuki would offer to kill Kindaka, the leader of the Order instead of the chairman's daughter and wife. Asaki accepted his proposal.

At some point later, it is implied Asaki schemed to murder the chairman and framed it on Satoru Yotsumura, the chairman's second-in-command. One of Asaki's co-conspirators was Shino, Yotsumura's own wife, who revealed she married him and bore their son to be used as a leverage. The ploy was a success; with the chairman dead and Yotsumura expelled from JAA, Asaki became the new chairman.

One year later, Asaki managed to track down Uzuki, who failed their agreed assignment and escaped with Rion. He showed up at their hideout when she was away and once again blackmailed Uzuki into killing a certain skilled assassin in exchange for freeing the rest of the orphans at Al-Kamar. Unbeknownst to Uzuki, the target was none other than Rion. Her final assignment for the local agency to escort a CEO's daughter was likely manipulated by Asaki as well.

Shortly after Uzuki murdered Rion, Asaki sauntered towards him and taunted his brother for foolishly believing he could escape the assassin world and live in peace, before leaving.

Skills & Abilities[]

Overall Skill Level: Compared to his brother, Asaki lacked any physical strength. But as the chairman for JAA, he was shown to be a extremely intelligent man that knew what he is doing.

Manipulation: Asaki often used his charisma to spread his ideology of killing, as shown when he correctly deduced that a member of his entourage was trying to isolate him for an ambush, just based on that member walking and blinking patterns. Even so, he still willingly walked into said ambush alone, showing great confidence despite seemingly lacking physical strength and abilities.

Enhanced Endurance: Asaki was completely unharmed when his young brother detonated a bomb that was planted inside Muto's body right next to him, even though the explosion engulfed him almost completely and left a small crater in the floor.
