Satoru Yotsumura (
Appearance[]
Yotsumura is a tall and muscular middle-aged man with tanned skin, unshaven beard, sharp eyebrows and unkempt black hair. He has tired, emotionless yellow eyes that are hidden by a light-colored bucket hat, his outfit consists in a plaid polo shirt under a black coat, pants and shoes. He also used to wear the JCC uniform.
During his fight with Shishiba, Yotsumura's cheek close to his left jaw was severely damaged, exposing his teeth covered in blood. It has since healed with it forming a noticeable scar on his face in a similar fashion to his old partner's.
Personality[]
Yotsumura is a laconic man that is calm in the midst of battle, casually commenting that three active Order members was too many to fight but was highly indifferent, even in combat and hardly caring that his son Amane saw his mother's death.
However, he cares deeply about his son like any normal father, to the point that he was willing to kill his wife to save him. As seen in a flashback, he smiled serenely while cradling his son as an infant and spent time with him, teaching him how to use his signature weapon.[2] Furthermore, Amane's grandfather, Byodo, holds no resentment towards Yotsumura for his daughter's death.[3]
Yotsumura desires to walk freely again, hence his reason for trying to destroy the JAA. However, he doesn't fully agree with Slur's ideals and criticizes the idea that Slur's followers are revolutionaries.
History[]
In the past, Yotsumura was a founding member of the Order alongside his old friend Kindaka, along with being the occasional teacher and lecturer at the JCC. At some point in time, he retired from the JCC and married fellow assassin Shino Yotsumura and had a son, Amane with her.
Yotsumura was the mentor of Shishiba. Around this time, he was assigned a mission to eliminate conspirators seeking to kill the chief of the JAA. Upon getting home, he found out that Shino was one such conspirator, marrying him and having Amane only to use him as leverage for the plan. With his son in danger, Yotsumura killed Shino just as Amane woke up.[4]
Eight years prior to the events of the series, he was banished from the Order and sentenced to death for attempting to kill some JAA executives. [5]
