Heisuke shares a close bond with the bird. According to him, it costs 10,000 Yen to feed Piisuke for a month. He then wished he could fill up his belly and decided to go and kill Sakamoto for his bounty. Piisuke also seems to be a lucky object for Heisuke; the same going for the latter to the former, according to Atari.
