Kanaguri vs. Etsuko Satoda is a battle fought between JCC teacher Etsuko Satoda and former member of the Order Kanaguri.
Prologue[]
During X's Organization attack on the JCC, Kanaguri manages to break into a classroom and kill students and teachers until he sees Satoda, watching him from the end of the corridor. After taking a look at her, he decided to film a Japanese horror-style fight with the JCC teacher, Satoda.
Battle[]
Kanaguri starts recording with his camera to make the introduction of his film, until he is surprised by Satoda's sudden appearance in front of him. Kanaguri jumps back, sustaining a cut on his shoulder from Satoda's tanto. Kanaguri comments on the action as he dashes back, telling Satoda she ruined the crucial introduction of the story, but is interrupted once again when Satoda appears in front of him and grabs his arm. Satoda throws him out of the window and onto the rooftop of the JCC's greenhouse. Satoda jumps at Kanaguri, attempting a downward stab. Kanaguri blocks the attack with his clapperboard, but the impact sends him crashing through the greenhouse's glass, landing inside with Satoda sitting on him, her tanto still stabbing his clapperboard.
Kanaguri then smiles and tells Satoda he has recognized her, mocking her by calling her the oddball who refused the Order's invitation and became a teacher instead, stating that he has already made a film about her once. Satoda calmly responds by mocking Kanaguri back, recognizing him as the scoundrel who goes around making movies about people's lives. While they talk, they start fighting again with Kanaguri resuming his recording. In response to Kanaguri's recording, Satoda attempts to grab his wrist but notices she cannot budge him. Kanaguri then surprises the teacher by appearing behind her, recording Satoda with his camera and calling it a first-rate tracking shot before slashing at her with his clapperboard and slicing off her right eye.
Kanaguri's recording is then interrupted by the trouble caused by Club Jam. Kanaguri asks how many times they have to retake the scene, to which Satoda calmly answers that they will retake it as many times as it takes for her to protect her students until Kanaguri's film is destroyed. To Satoda's surprise, she is suddenly interrupted by the entrance of multiple students under Club Jam's control. This distraction gives Kanaguri the opportunity to attack her while Sakamoto and Akira are running in front of the greenhouse glass. They witness Kanaguri slashing at Satoda's neck with his clapperboard, inflicting a near-fatal wound that knocks the JCC teacher down. She begins to ponder her past and her decision to decline the Order's invitation to join them.
Akira immediately rushes toward the now almost-dead teacher, tears streaming down her face. Meanwhile, Kanaguri starts to record Akira's reaction but is interrupted by Sakamoto. Sakamoto and the former Order member begin to fight, with Kanaguri managing to slash Sakamoto's cheek with his clapperboard. After a brief exchange, Kanaguri turns to Akira, revealing that Slur had killed Akira's aunt, Rion, shocking the student. Kanaguri is then interrupted by the sudden arrival of Satoda, who throws her tanto through Kanaguri's camera, piercing his right eye. Kanaguri then reveals that Satoda moved even after dying just to protect her students, calling it the true Japanese horror he wanted.
Aftermath[]
After Satoda pierced Kanaguri's eye, a now darkened Akira asks Sakamoto if he knew about her aunt's death. He replies that he didn't tell her because he had made a promise to Rion. Kanaguri starts talking about Rion but is interrupted by Akira, who, in a burst of anger, attempts to stab him from below. Kanaguri smiles intriguedly and tries to kill Akira with a slash of his clapperboard but is blocked by Sakamoto, who interferes and uses Kanaguri's camera to block the attack, destroying the camera in the process. Kanaguri is surprised to realize that he has lost all the material and tape for his movie but is silenced by Sakamoto, who shoots water into his mouth before starting a fight between the former Order member and the now retired assassin.
