Exam, Stage Three (さんけん San Ji Shiken?) is the nineteenth and eighth episode of the second part of Sakamoto Days anime.

Synopsis[]

Stage Three of the JCC exams begins as a trio of special applicants joins the frey. Toramaru, a devoted Sakamoto fan, immediately clashes with Shin.[1]

Sakamoto and his friends are taking the JCC transfer exam. During the first exam, Kanaguri, a film director who serves as both the order and examiner, goes out of control on board and destroys the plane. Sakamoto and his friends are thrown into the sky, but thanks to Akira's efforts, they pass the hastily scheduled second exam without incident. With the addition of three new recommended students, Kanaguri, Toramaru and Shinaya, the third exam begins in an uneasy atmosphere. Toramaru, who has deified Sakamoto and is so supportive of him that she carries around a handmade doll of him, takes an aggressive stance from the start, putting him at odds with Shin and his friends!

Differences between Anime & Manga[]

  • The anime adds a scene of Kanaguri filming Sakamoto, Mafuyu, Jay, Shin, and Akira while holding the parachute in the previous episode.
  • The anime adds a scene of a crab walking along the shore of the island near Kanaguri.
