Aoi Sakamoto (坂本 葵, Sakamoto Aoi) is a character in the Sakamoto Days series. She is the wife of Taro Sakamoto and the mother of Hana Sakamoto. She was the reason of why Sakamoto abandoned his life as an assassin and showed him a better path to protecting his loved ones.

Personality[]
Aoi is a very loving and caring woman who can also be somewhat of an extremist going to extreme measures to prove a point of what she believes in. Along with knowing how strong her husband Taro Sakamoto is and how much they care for each other as she lives life pretty fearless. Due to this, she is a bit more carefree with her decisions even when in danger. She is aware that she is reckless at times but makes up for it with her confidence and hope especially when it comes to her husband. Her principles are strict and holds them as a priority of the Sakamoto Family Rules.
History[]
Aoi met Taro Sakamoto at a convenience store. He fell instantly in love with her and they soon started dating. While Sakamoto was still working as a member of Order, Aoi grew fed up with his nonchalant behavior in his life as an assassin and showed him what it was like to lose someone precious to him as she threw herself off a balcony. Sakamoto saved her but Aoi taught him a harsh lesson on valuing on the lives of others. She made him promise never to take another person's life and to devote his own life in helping others to make up for all the people he's killed.

Sakamoto became so smitten with Aoi that he decided to leave behind the world of assassination and retire from the Order so that he could be with her. After dating for a while, Sakamoto and Aoi would get married and open up their own little convenience store in a small neighborhood on the outskirts of Tokyo, and eventually had their daughter named Hana. Over the years, Sakamoto fall out of shape and become fat in his domesticated life.[1].
